The Lean-to at Great Pines

Next up.... The Lean-To at Great Pines! If you love sitting outside and looking at the water as you eat, this is your place! Even better, if you are on a boat, pull up, dock and grab a drink and a bite at the Lean-To! The Lean-To is a casual restaurant with a gorgeous wooden interior and exterior, showcasing a dark brown and red theme. The property itself is immaculate, always well designed, decorated and well cared for. The Lean-To is run by local couple Devin and Britta, who often chronicle their journey as business owners and parents of their fun-loving boys and pup.

First off, big shout out to the Lean-To for their abundance of gluten free menu items, as well as various vegetarian items. They offer gluten free buns and pasta as well! Their menu is creative and fun, and from what I understand, they use local ingredients as much as possible and use regional influences in their menu decisions. Their menu caters to those who want to be adventurous, as well as those who like to stick with the comfortable norms.

They have several different meal starters including their Maple Scout wings (jumbo wings tossed in sweet and spicy sauce, a hint of bourbon, maple syrup and rosemary) and Poutine (cheese curds and homemade gravy served over fries). They also offer a variety of flatbreads and salads. Their sandwich menu is diverse enough to fit everyone's needs. Sandwiches include beef, veggie, tuna and chicken sandwiches, several of which include a creative twist that makes them stand out.

Their dinner entrees consist of delicious choices such as the Gorgonzola Chicken Pasta (sliced chicken breast, tossed with mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes, in a blue cheese cream sauce) and the Thai Noodle Bowl (grape tomatoes, squash, zucchini tossed in Thai peanut sauce served over rice noodles). They also run specials which sound amazing such as Candied Honey Nut Walnut Salmon, Roasted Prime Rib, and Lobster Stuffed Haddock.

Beyond the food being amazing, the Lean-To specializes in their extensive drink menu. They are always adding fun, inventive ways to please their guests. Devin has created a Craft Can List and their selection of IPAs is impressive. They have a list of "fun" drinks as well, and in the past they even created adult "Capri Sun Pouches" and adult "Boozy Pops". There are lots of fun tidbits I can tell you about this place. In the past they have had Taco Nights, Movie Nights and live music. They also added an upscale feature called "The Greenhouse" and I can spend an entire post going on about that! You will have to research their website and FB page to learn more.
